MILITARY MEDICAL SEPERATIONS AND RETIREMENTS: The Law Office of Michael D.J. Eisenberg, Attorney and Counselor at Law, provides representation to service members at Physical Evaluation Boards (PEB) for all branches of services. The process begins with a service member being referred to a Medical Evaluation Board (MEB). The MEB determines whether a medical condition interferes significantly with the members ability to carry out the duties of his rank and rate.

If it is determined that a service member does not have the ability to perform his duties, the case is referred to an informal PEB (Physical Evaluation Board). If it is determined that one is

unfit for duty then discharge can be recommend with severance pay or a disability retirement. The informal PEB will also assign a disability percentage. It is important that you get the highest disability rating that you are entitled to this rating will help determine the benefits you and your family receive from the military.
